Resize text in a PDF

Scale a heading up or shrink an oversized line down without retyping it — DollarFix resizes the real text already in the file, straight in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Some text in your PDF is just the wrong size — a title that should be bigger, a caption that's too bold, a paragraph that runs past the margin. DollarFix PDF lets you resize the actual existing text in place: click the words, then either grab a corner handle to scale them or set a new size, and the real characters grow or shrink where they sit. You're not covering the line and retyping it — the original text keeps its font, its colour and its Unicode content (Cyrillic included), just at the size you want.

This is a genuine edit to the text object, not an annotation drawn on top. That distinction matters when you resize: the words stay selectable and sharp rather than turning into a fuzzy sticker over the page. Editing is completely free — you resize as many lines as you like, and you only pay $1 once, and only if you decide to download the finished PDF. No account, no subscription, no watermark, and the file never leaves your device.

Frequently asked questions

Does this resize the real text, or just draw a bigger copy over it?
It resizes the real text object. When you scale a run, DollarFix rewrites that existing text at the new size rather than pasting a picture of it on top, so the words stay crisp and keep their original font and colour.
Can I make text both larger and smaller?
Yes — both directions work in place. Drag a corner handle outward to enlarge a run or inward to shrink it, or just enter a smaller or larger size value. The text scales around its own position on the page.
Will resizing change the font or colour of the text?
No. Resizing only changes the size. The original font family, weight (bold/italic) and colour are preserved. If you also want a different typeface or colour, those are separate edits you can make on the same selection.
Can I resize text on a scanned PDF?
On a scan the page is an image, so there is no real text to select and rescale — there's no OCR that turns the scan into editable characters. Instead you'd whiteout the old text and type new text at the size you want on top.
Is it really free, and does my file get uploaded?
Editing is 100% free and everything runs in your browser — the PDF never leaves your device and there's no account. You only pay a one-time $1 if you choose to download the finished file.
