You don't need to rewrite anything to change a colour — you just want the same words in a different shade. Maybe a heading should be your brand blue, a warning line should read in red, or black text needs to lift to a softer grey for print. DollarFix lets you click the existing text, open the colour picker and recolour it in place. The wording, font and position stay exactly as they were; only the colour changes.

Because the new colour is written into the real text object rather than a highlight box laid over the top, the words stay crisp, selectable and searchable — no fuzzy overlay, no rectangle hiding the letters. You can recolour a single word, a heading, or a whole line, pick an exact hex value to match a logo or template, and mix colours across the page. Full Unicode is supported too, so recolouring Cyrillic or accented text works just as cleanly.

It all runs on your device. The PDF is never sent to a server, there's no account to create and no card to enter before you start. Recolour as many words as you like for free, and pay a single one-time $1 only when you download the finished file — no subscription, no watermark, no recurring charge.

Frequently asked questions

Does it recolour the real text or just paint a highlight over it?
It recolours the real text. You click the existing characters and change the colour written into the text object itself, so the letters stay sharp and selectable — it's not a translucent highlight or a coloured box laid on top.
Can I match an exact brand or template colour?
Yes. As well as picking from the colour palette you can enter a precise hex value, so a heading can be recoloured to your exact brand blue or a template's house colour rather than an approximate match.
Will changing the colour keep the same words and font?
Yes. Recolouring only changes the colour — the wording, font, size and position all stay put. If you also want to reword or resize the text, you can do that in the same click since the text is fully editable.
Can I recolour text on a scanned PDF?
Not directly — on a scan the page is an image, so the old text isn't editable characters. The honest workaround is to whiteout the scanned word and type fresh text on top in the colour you want. There's no OCR turning the scan into editable characters.
Is it free, and is my file private?
Recolouring is completely free — change as many words as you like at no cost, and pay a one-time $1 only when you download. The whole edit happens in your browser, so the file never leaves your device: no upload, no server copy and no sign-up.
